The Rod of IronPaul Jablonowski
"Ask of Me, and I will give you the nations for your inheritance, and the ends of the earth for your possession. You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel."-- Psalm 2:8-9 The "Rod of Iron" is the tool of God's authority to bring His justice and right judgment in the earth. His Banqueting Table is what gives us access to the rod of iron. Why? Because ONLY Jesus can use the rod of iron in a balanced loving manner. Therefore we must be "in Him" at His table in perfect fellowship with Him in His body and blood, because He prepares His Table before us in the presence of His enemies. He will use us to defeat our enemies, but if we are not willing and sitting with Him at His table, then the rod of iron will not be implemented in the earth and evil will prevail. However, we have a promise that there will be a people "in Him" so perfectly that this rod of iron will be used. I believe now is the time when this rod of iron is being birthed IN His people for Him to use. If not us then who? If not now, then when? This past Sunday was Pentecost Sunday and Pentecost is a time for birthing. The fellowship that I attended for Pentecost this year was preaching a sermon on the justice and judgment of God in the earth.(1) Eugene Brown, the man giving this sermon, is a very compassionate and loving man who ministers in a low-income neighborhood and goes door-to-door on a weekly basis sharing the love of Christ. Eugene is not a "fire and brimstone" kind of preacher, so it was a very hard message for him to deliver. He said to me personally that he had sleepless nights for three nights before this sermon and wept as he delivered it. I led worship for Eugene's service and sang Psalm 110 which also deals with the rod of iron where it says: "Your people shall be volunteers (willing) in the day of Your power" and how the LORD sends the rod of His strength through His people to "rule in the midst of your enemies." So we were both seeing similar things regarding God's justice and judgment. We ended this Pentecost service on a positive note with communion at the Table of the LORD, because it is the LORD who brings the justice and judgment as we abide in HIM. Eugene also had a dream three days before Pentecost Sunday where he saw a dark black cloud, which is why many of his scripture references were in regards to dark clouds of judgment. I have recently experienced the dark cloud of God which is something GOOD because when we go through it (the judgment of the flesh) we are able to be with the Father! "Clouds and darkness surround Him!" because He uses dark clouds to veil the glory of His secret place. The Father's dark cloud is real! (2) The first Pentecost on Mt. Sinai also experienced dark clouds, where most of the children of Israel were terrified. But the terror of the LORD is not a bad thing. The Fear of the LORD is a spirit that will actually bring us closer to Jesus and to our heavenly Father. Exodus 20:21 shows this saying, "Moses approached the thick darkness WHERE GOD WAS." We need to delight in the fear of the Lord the same way Jesus did, because only those who truly carry the spirit of the Fear of the LORD will wield the rod of iron. Isaiah 11:3-4 clearly shows this, saying: "His delight is in the fear of the LORD, and He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, Nor decide by the hearing of His ears; But with righteousness He shall judge the poor, and decide with equity for the meek of the earth. He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, and with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked." -- Isaiah 11:3-5 This can only be done in the love of Christ and not in our own strength. Much of the "judgment" we pass on one another is not done in a spirit of LOVE and therefore people have a jaded view of the justice of God which is really about restoration and not condemnation. For there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus who walk according to the Spirit and not according to the flesh! The rod being "iron" represents its "unbreakable" authority, and not the idea of smashing people over the head with unrighteous judgment. Even our Father's justice is for the sake of showing mercy because mercy triumphs over judgment! Nevertheless, the rod of iron is dealing with nations and those rulers who have hardened their hearts towards God and are hurting or killing others. The book of revelation mentions the "rod of iron" three different times:
So the rod of iron deals with nations. Those whom God uses to wield His rod of iron must have "clean hands and a pure heart" (Ps. 24) or else they can get hurt, because sin in our lives gives legal access to the enemy. So, it is important to stay at the Table of the LORD because only the blood of Jesus gives us clean hands and a pure heart.(3) At His table the enemy flees from the light and presence of the Father! I believe this rod of iron judgment is already being implemented against the strategies, policies and people that hurt, afflict and kill others. The result is twofold: 1) The wicked are running to hide: "They shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, from the terror of the LORD and the glory of his majesty, when He arises to shake the earth mightily." (Isaiah 2:19) There are many high-level world finance controllers that are now running and hiding in pre-built bunkers and islands and caves because they realize that their fiat currencies and methods of dominating nations are coming to an end. 2) Second, the righteous will flourish and rule the earth with a heart of love and justice. The current systems of greed, debt and fear will change to that of love, benevolence and healing! The result will be that Living Waters from heaven will start flowing freely for all to see and experience the goodness of God! We are experiencing a measure of this in my hometown of Huntsville Alabama. There have been public outdoor baptisms here that are a sign of what is coming. Really, this is just re-digging an old well of revival that Huntsville had over 100 years ago with thousands of public baptisms in the "Big Spring" which is at the very center of our city and represents the Living Waters flowing from the Rock which is Christ Jesus! "Our fathers (including our city's spiritual fathers) were baptized for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ." (1 Corinthians 10:1-4) The Big Spring in our city flows from a huge Rock! Several local intercessors have been prayer-driving Alabama and our region. Recently, four of us took a 24 hour road-trip to cover the Alabama waterways with baptismal spring water from the "Big Spring" in downtown Huntsville. We are asking for a release of living waters from heaven! As a prophetic act, we poured it in: 1) the Black Warrior River at Tuscaloosa / Moundville; 2) the Alabama River in Selma over the Edmund Pettus bridge; 3) The Waterfront in Montgomery; and finally in 4) the Mobile Bay near Fort Morgan at the opening of the "womb" of Alabama. Right as we finished, there was a 6 to 8 inch rainfall from Selma to Montgomery! We believe God is reversing the curse of racism
in Alabama and wants to rain His love! We blew shofars at the Montgomery
waterfront, and made a petition before the Alabama state capital doors
for God's government. There was a similar Montgomery prayer rally two
years ago with a "re-digging the wells march." Both times we
traveled the same path mapped
out here that the Martin Luther King marchers did back in the 1960's. The one thing we did on a regular basis during this prayer ride was to take communion together as a constant reminder of being at Our Father's Table. The Alabama River and the Tombigbee / Black Warrior Rivers are shaped in the form of the "ovaries" of the Alabama womb. Montgomery / Birmingham are in the center of the womb and Huntsville is at the top of the womb. I believe the rod of iron is being birthed from the Alabama state of Justice. Today in history is D-day, and also the 50th year anniversary of when modern Israel won back Jerusalem on 6/7/1967. Twelve days after this intercession and prayer at the Capital of Alabama, the governor of Alabama signed a 50th Anniversary of the Reunification of Jerusalem Day Proclamation! I believe it is D-day in the spirit realm too, where the "volunteers in the Day of His power" are beginning to learn about the rod of iron that will bring true liberty and release of living waters to flow from the Psalm 24 gates of heaven! Open up the gates for the King of Glory! The Rod of Iron is the tool of God's authority to bring His justice and right judgment in the earth. He is looking for men and women to BE the rod of iron in the earth. Will you take up your cross and pay the price to be the rod of iron in His hand? It's not by human power or might, but by the Spirit of the LORD! ------------------------------------------------------------- (1) Eugene Brown's sermon on the Justice and Judgment of God in the earth (2) One of my favorite newsletters deals with the dark cloud surrounding the Father (3) One of my favorite songs during this
