The Four Horsemen of Alabama

by Paul Jablonowski

April 22, 2011

We are currently in the middle of the seven days of the feast of Unleavened Bread from April 19-25, 2011. I have been blessed during this year's feast to be able to ride horseback from the two northern most corners of my state of Alabama towards the state capital in Montgomery! This prayer & intercession event by horseback is called "The Glory Ride - Four Horsemen of Alabama," where four different teams of horse riders have started from each corner of Alabama and plan to meet in Birmingham for corporate prayer and worship on April 30th. Then we ride together from Birmingham to Montgomery for the National Day of Prayer on May 5th. There will be several days of 24 hour praise & worship in both Birmingham and Montgomery during these two weekends. Please see Bershet Gua's website for more details as they develop - http://www.thegloryride.com/

Each of the four teams celebrated Jesus in the Passover on the Passover day this year (Monday April 18th) in their respective corners of Alabama. I celebrated the Passover outdoors with the North West team in Waterloo Alabama at the Trail of Tears commemoration site which is a beautiful location on the Tennessee River where the modern day Trail of Tears motorcycle ride ends. This small Alabama town counts down the days until the Trail of Tears which is their biggest attraction. After discussing how Christ Jesus fulfilled the ancient Passover of Moses, we took communion together and then poured out the extra bread and wine upon the land and waters as an act of faith that the blood of Jesus is able to cleanse our land. We asked forgiveness for our government's sins towards the native American Indians, and also for our current government's manipulation of people for selfish reasons.

The next day we started the journey with riders on a pale horse and a black horse. On the second day there were four of us riding through Russellville Alabama. I was able to ride the black horse for part of the journey during both of these days. We started our ride from a place just outside of Waterloo called Gravelly Springs where a historic marker is set up at a large natural spring. There were people coming from far away just to fill up barrels of water from this natural spring! This historic marker said that "the largest cavalry force ever massed in the western hemisphere" was assembled here with five divisions totaling 22,000. We prayed that a large assembly of the LORD's angels would amass to fulfill His will for His kingdom to come on earth as it is in heaven! We also took communion every morning together before riding and poured the blood upon the ground in intercession for the healing of our land.

There was a song the LORD really seemed to anoint while I was riding and meditating. The lyrics are: Send your Fire, send your Rain, Holy Oil in Jesus Name, loose the Wind that brings heaven's change. Send your fire, send the oil, the wind and the rain. This reminded me of the four winds of heaven; the four corners of the earth; the four craftsmen of Zechariah 1:18-21, as well as the four horsemen of the apocalypse (Rev. 6). There were large storms that came through the first two nights we camped. It included much wind, rain, hail, thunder and lightening. Also while riding, the winds were very strong which I believe was a natural sign for the spiritual shift in the heavenlies that is taking place at this time. A pastor Tim is leading this Northwestern team but he was in Montgomery on the first day of the ride because he was asked to open the Alabama Congress in prayer. God's righteous government is shifting into place!

For the third and fourth days of this Glory Ride, I rode with the North East team which is being led by Miles Wylie Albright and started from Bridgeport Alabama. I was honored to ride a red horse with Miles who has been riding a pale horse for the entire journey. The highlight for me personally was "crossing over" the Tennessee River on horseback at Guntersville on 431 and praying for God's mature sons to cross over into their inheritance of brideship in Christ! During these two days, I prayed for the healing of the waters and poured out the communion cup over several rivers throughout Alabama. The timing of this journey and how I would meet people throughout the trip has been amazing. The picture below shows where I met up with Miles at four o'clock on the fourth day of the ride when he just happened to need another rider. The sign says, "Beu-lah Land - Isaiah 62:4" and Isaiah 62:4 says:

"You shall no longer be termed Forsaken, Nor shall your land any more be termed Desolate. But you shall be called Hephzibah (My Delight is in her), and your land Beulah (Married); For the LORD delights in you, and your land shall be married."

This verse sums up God's desire to heal Alabama and use it as a witness to bring healing to other lands and nations too. I quoted and prayed Psalms 24 and 23 many times as we were riding: "For the earth is the LORD's and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein. For He has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the waters... Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in." This prayer ride is all about reversing the curse for the healing of the nations. One small example out of many was when we rode through Blount county Alabama (where we saw the Beulah sign) and released the LORD's forgiveness to reverse the curse when people in this county rejected the Methodist evangelist Lorenzo Dow in 1830 by tarring and feathering him. We asked the LORD for grace to receive His messengers and cried out "blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD!" (Matt. 23:39).

This prayer journey is significant for the awakening that God is bringing to Alabama and to our nation. The LORD's fire of justice, healing rains and winds of change are upon us. We need the anointing of His Holy Spirit to win this war, and we are in a war for the souls of men. This Glory Ride coincides with the 150th anniversary of the civil war, and Alabama is called to stand for Israel which we are doing in our state government. We prayed for the peace of Jerusalem from the heart of Dixie: "O Jerusalem! ...thrones are set there for judgment, the thrones of the house of David. Pray for the Shalom of Jerusalem (Double Shalom); May they prosper who love you. Peace be within your walls, Prosperity within your palaces. For the sake of my brethren and companions, I will now say, "Peace be within you. Because of the house of the LORD our God I will seek your good."" (Psalm 122:5-9)
