The Day of the Eagle

by Bill Burns

September 1, 2004

We are about to enter the fifth year of the Third Day Church. This will occur on September 16, 2004, at the Feast of Trumpets. Five is the number of God's grace (empowerment), and we are about to witness a changing of the guard within the prophetic community.

Many of those who had prophetic gifting are now under the control of a spirit of divination. This has happened because they got into self-promotion. They wanted to be known as prophets, and they sought after a following. These are about to be replaced with a contingency of young eagles.

These young eagles have been in the nest and have been raised up by those eagles who remained true to the Lord and His calling. We are now in a season of release for the young eagles. They have been in training now for five years and have waited patiently for the appointed season in which they are to spread their wings and take flight. These young eagles have the fire of the Lord upon them, and they are ready for the battle that is at hand.

I had a vision of the release of the young eagles on August 5, 1999, just before the birth of the Third Day Church. This vision is for the present season:

THE EAGLE CRIES!

August 5, 1999: Today, I have heard the cry of the eagle, not a cry in a high and lofty place. No, but the cry of One Lone Eagle over the face of the waters. Again, the Golden One cries out as he passes over the waters. Lower he comes now, and as the cry penetrates my spirit I hear, "Come out of her My people."

Again, now this the third time, the glorious Golden One swoops down over the waters, lower still--so much so that the tips of the wing feathers touch the water, each time the wings come down. Again, he cries out, the shrill cry of the Anointed One, and I hear, "Come now My chosen ones, for now is the time." And, as I watch this Glorious One, I see golden oil flowing from his head down to the wings, and each time his wings touch the water the golden oil flows upon the waters. As I watch, I see Him over the waters and now these twelve times he touches the water, and his oil flows forth.

Upon the waters now twelve pools of oil remain as the Glorious One flies upward into a cloud and disappears. As I watch this pure white cloud, it begins to grow darker, and I hear the voice of the Almighty as thunders come forth, "These are the times of great trouble upon the earth, but fear not, My people, for I have stirred the waters."

My vision returns to the waters over which the Golden One flew, and again I hear the roar of thunder. Now I see the lightning strike the water and the twelve pools of oil explode in flames of fire. Out of the flames I see the eagles rise, now twelve in all. Again, the voice of thunder comes, "These are My chosen ones upon whom the golden oil has been poured. Watch now the results."

As I watched the twelve, they came in a perfect formation (side by side), and they too cried out, "Come out of her My people." And they too flew upon the face of the waters, and each one touched twelve times, and the golden oil flowed down and the thunder roared and the lightning brought forth the fire and the twelve each begot twelve and there were one hundred, forty-four.

This process was repeated, and the hundred and forty-four begot thousands. And then I watched the hundred and forty-four and the thousands as they mounted up together on wings of eagles, and they flew towards heaven to the Golden One who now rested on clouds of glory. The brilliance of the sun was upon Him, and He was transformed as His golden feathers were changed to a brilliant white.

As the hundred, forty-four and thousands joined Him, they too were changed into the image of the Holy One with feathers of white, likened to that of a dove.

Again the thunder comes and the voice of the Master echoes through my spirit, "These are My chosen ones, those who have answered the call of the Golden One. Who are they you ask? They are My divine government of these last days. They are the righteous ones of the church age. They have been given what you call apostolic authority. They shall shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father, and they shall lead My people into the final victory.

You have heard what the Spirit has spoken; now watch! As I turned my eyes toward heaven, this is what I saw: The Glorious One with the hundred, forty-four and the thousands mounted up on the wings of eagles, and they flew into the heavenlies to wage war against spiritual hosts of wickedness in heavenly places. I can hear the cries of thousands of eagles in the heavenlies as they storm the gates of darkness. The battle is ferocious, but it belongs to the Glorious One and His own.

Some are wounded, but they are not weary, and they do not faint. The sky begins to clear, the victory has been won, the gates of darkness have not prevailed. The sky above is now filled with white feathers, those torn loose in the battle, and the voice of the Spirit speaks, "These (white feathers) represent the righteous acts of the saints, those who have fought the good fight, those who have followed the Lamb wherever He has led them."

Again, I hear the voice over many waters like the voice of loud thunder, "Can you hear the song of the redeemed? Can you hear the song of victory? Can you see them now as they mount up on wings of glory? Can you see them upon the Mount called Zion? These are those who came out of Babylon. These are those who are not defiled with the woman called the Great Harlot. These are those who stand before the throne of God."

Once again, I behold the white feathers coming down, and as they descend, a soft wind seems to bring them together, and shape them. The unseen hand of the Master now holds this garment before me, a beautiful garment, white and clean. He whispers ever so gently, "Behold the wedding garment." And the sound of His voice and the breath of His words and the love of His heart touched the beautiful garment. The feathers of white were blended together and became what looked like fine linen.

From above the garment, from Zion's mount, I hear this one last cry, "For this fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints, blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb. And the Spirit and the Bride say come! And let him who hears say come! And let him who thirsts come. And whoever desires, let him take of the water of life freely." Amen.

We are in a battle for the soul(s) of America. The Prophet Joel foresaw these last days.

Joel 3:
9 Proclaim this among the nations: "Prepare for war! Wake up the mighty men, Let all the men of war draw near, Let them come up.
10 Beat your plowshares into swords And your pruning hooks into spears; Let the weak say, ‘I am strong.’"
11 Assemble and come, all you nations, And gather together all around. Cause Your mighty ones to go down there, O LORD.
12 "Let the nations be wakened, and come up to the Valley of Jehoshaphat; For there I will sit to judge all the surrounding nations.
13 Put in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe. Come, go down; For the winepress is full, The vats overflow—For their wickedness is great."
14 Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision.

This is a word that the Lord spoke through me on July 10, 2004:

You have entered into the season of the eagle, for I am raising up eagles (prophets) in this season. I will give them wings with which to rise up in the Spirit, and I will give them vision for the season that is before them. It is necessary that My people again have the vision of an eagle. I give vision to My Church and purpose to My people. Now, in this season, I am bringing forth the eagles who will begin to have vision, which will cause them to rise up from the earth and fly over the waters (multitudes) and cause the fire of My Spirit to break out wherever I send them. This is the purpose and the season that I have chosen to demonstrate the power of the eagle, says the Lord.

Today the Lord told me to re-establish the vision and to call to the young eagles who are resting on the Rock (Christ) in the hidden places. And so, I call to you, young eagles, and I say to you, "Spread your wings for the wind of God comes to lift you up into the heavenlies. It is time to leave the nest and enter into the service of the Lord. The battle is at hand, so let the fire and wind of the glorious One empower you and move you into His purposes. Arise!"
